Competitive Europe Summit 2022

Where? Online or onsite

When? June 15, 2022

Brussels wants it all. High targets have been set for the bloc to remain competitive while protecting its autonomy and becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The European Commission also wants to reign in Big Tech and promote a digital transition allowing Europe to assert its voice in the technological arena.

With an ambitious agenda for 2022, Member States must settle on their differences so Europe can push its way through vis-a-vis China and the U.S. There is still a long way to go from making the most out of the recovery money, to turning Europe’s green aspirations and tech sovereignty plans into reality all the way to finding a common position on trade agreements.

To dissect all these topics, POLITICO Live is hosting its third edition of the Competitive Europe Summit on June 15-16, 2022, in Brussels and online. Bringing together high-level policymakers, industry experts, and civil society actors through interviews, panel discussions and roundtables, this event – taking place halfway through the Commission’s mandate – represents a unique opportunity to dissect Europe’s growth and its capacity to act on its own accord.
