This meeting will focus on innovation procurement in health, how regions are currently using the EU support available through Horizon Europe and how this support might evolve in the future. We will hear from the European Commission DG RTD, who will present the aim of the innovation procurement instruments in Horizon Europe and the role they see for these instruments in the future. We will also hear about examples of relevant EU funded innovation procurement projects such as Procure4Health, and Health InnoFacilitator, as well as how colleagues from around the ERRIN membership works to build good practices in this area.
As innovation procurement is one of the recommendations included in the recent report “Align, Act, Accelerate” by the Commission expert group on the Framework Programme led by Manuel Heitor, the issue is very topical and we are looking forward to an animated discussion.
