Klyngens mål er å etablere verdensledende forsyningskjeder innen havvind. Med rundt 300 medlemmer, fra smidige oppstartsbedrifter til store havvindutviklere, er klyngen det største industrinettverket i Norge.
Norwegian Offshore Wind vokste først ut av Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) i Haugesund. Det var her verdens første flytende vindturbin ble installert allerede i 2009, og den er fortsatt i drift i dag.
På bare noen få år har den norske havvindindustrien vokst raskt, og det samme har nettverket og initiativene våre. Norwegian Offshore Wind representerer nå både leverandørkjedeselskaper og utviklere. Som sådan har vi en sterk stemme på både politiske og industrielle arenaer i Norge.
Klyngen hjelper medlemmene med å få tilgang til og lykkes i de viktigste havvindmarkedene, spesielt innen flytende vind.
Klyngen er bransjedrevne, smidige og har et sterkt markedsfokus. Medlemmene er organisert i arbeidsgrupper ledet av bransjerepresentanter. Norwegian Offshore Wind har som mål å være et knutepunkt for informasjons- og kunnskapsdeling, samt å representere bransjen i nasjonale og internasjonale fora for havvindutvikling. Vi hjelper leverandører med å finne hverandre og gjør det mulig for utviklere å møte forsyningskjeden ved å ta dem med på turné rundt i Norge. Hvert år arrangerer klyngen den nasjonale konferansen for havvind i Norge, Havvindkonferansen, og det internasjonale flaggskiparrangementet for den globale flytende vindindustrien, Floating Wind Days.
The cluster’s goal is to establish world leading supply chains within offshore wind. With ~300 members ranging from agile startups to large offshore wind developers, we are the biggest industry network in Norway.
Norwegian Offshore Wind first grew out of the Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) in Haugesund. This is where the world’s first floating wind turbine was installed already in 2009 and is still running today.
In just a few years, the Norwegian offshore wind industry has grown rapidly, and so has its network and initiatives. Norwegian Offshore Wind now represents both supply chain companies and developers. As such we have a strong voice in both political and industrial arenas in Norway.
The cluster helps its members to gain access and succeed in the key offshore wind markets, especially within floating wind.
The cluster is industry driven, agile and have a strong market focus. Its members are organized in working groups led by industry representatives. Norwegian Offshore Wind aims to be a hub for information and knowledge sharing, as well as representing the industry in national and international forums for offshore wind development. We help suppliers find each other and enable developers to meet the supply chain by taking them on tour around Norway. Each year, it organises the national conference for offshore wind in Norway, Havvindkonferansen, and the flagship international event for the global floating wind industry, Floating Wind Days.
