Sola kommune

Sola ligger strategisk til mellom Stavanger og Sandnes kommune. Her finner vi blant annet Stavanger lufthavn Sola, en av landets største flyplasser, og Risavika havn. Disse er med på å gjøre Sola til et knutepunkt i regionen. Rundt 25 000 personer har sitt arbeidssted i Sola kommune, og kommunen har en netto innpendling av arbeidstakere på over 8 000 personer.

Risavika havn, som er regionens største, er en betydelig base for aktivitet i Nordsjøen, og er en av landets største kontainerhavner. Det regionale energiselskapet Lyse har en terminal i Risavika for naturgass som kommer fra Kårstø.
