Meet Helene Eiliott, our new European Advisor at Stavanger Region European Office in Brussels
Helene Eiliott joined the Stavanger Region European Office in Brussels as a European Advisor on Monday, January 6, 2025. She brings a rich and varied career with her, focusing on innovation, collaboration across fields, and sustainable development.
Most recently, she worked on Stavanger’s lighthouse project, NEB-STAR, where she played a key role in advancing the EU’s New European Bauhaus initiative, which blends sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion to support the green transition.
Helene’s career has been all about bringing together art, innovation, and urban development. From managing the Smart Art program for Stavanger Smart City to co-founding the workspace Elefant, she’s shown a knack for driving creativity and teamwork in transformative projects.
Looking ahead, Helene is eager to strengthen collaboration among municipalities in the region and explore partnerships across Europe. With her experience in municipal strategies and EU projects, she’s well-equipped to navigate European policymaking and foster impactful collaborations.
She’s also excited to take the success and expertise from projects like Cities Mission and NEB-STAR to a broader European audience. “These achievements should inspire and involve other municipalities and key players like social and creative entrepreneurs, expanding the impact of these initiatives,” she said.
“Joining the Stavanger Region European Office in Brussels is a fantastic opportunity to deepen my understanding of EU processes, build networks, and explore new ways to collaborate across Europe. I’m excited to contribute to both regional and European progress,” she added.
Runa Monstad, Director of the Stavanger Region European Office, shares her enthusiasm about welcoming Helene to the team: “Her expertise in sustainability, innovation, and partnerships will be an invaluable asset to our team and, most importantly, to our members.”
